CCTV analytics helps you to harness the power of your CCTV and surveillance system. Like remote CCTV monitoring, it can save on the costs of manned guarding. Many of the IP CCTV cameras WLS install now have basic (Hikvision) or advanced (Avigilon) CCTV analytics built-in. CCTV analytics software identifies events such as unauthorised entry, vehicle movements and objects left in or removed from an area as potential threats and notifies you that they have taken place. It is also self-learning so it learns to tell the difference between genuine alarms and false alarms, saving you time and money.
Video encoders and video decoders allow you to integrate your existing analogue CCTV camera installation with a new network or IP CCTV system. You get all the benefits of a network-based IP CCTV system without discarding existing analogue cameras and cabling. If your budget does not allow for a full IP CCTV upgrade in a single phase, WLS can upgrade your system in as many stages as you require.
After installing your CCTV system, WLS can set up remote CCTV monitoring. Your CCTV system can then send footage to our central monitoring station for out of hours security. This can be added to your existing system as well. In the event of an intrusion attempt or fire, trained security staff can assess the situation and take the appropriate course of action. They can challenge the intruder verbally (if speakers are installed) or call the police. In the event of a fire, they can also inform the fire brigade. Remote monitoring helps reduce false alarms, improves security and saves on manned guarding costs.
Your CCTV camera installation can be used to verify intruder alarms or fire alarms activation. When used in conjunction with WLS’s RedCare central monitoring station this will give you instant police or fire service response to your premises.
By integrating your CCTV with access control systems, you can now see who is arriving at your front door before they knock and allow them access with the simple press of a button. Facial recognition & critical point recognition technology can be coupled with CCTV analytics software for automated monitoring & automated access.
Yes. Commercial CCTV cameras are designed to record sound in conjunction with images. However, whether or not an employer or retail location is allowed to record audio is another matter entirely.
Yes. When installing commercial CCTV security cameras, you are legally required to signpost the cameras to let people know they are there.
CCTV cameras make it next to impossible to break into a commercial building without being noticed, so many would-be criminals will seek to avoid locations with CCTV installed.
Yes. Routine CCTV maintenance is vital, and in general we recommend a yearly inspection with an official inspector, such as ourselves. We also recommend that you run a routine monthly inspection yourself to make sure that your cameras and systems are fully operational.
